Prof. Magnus Paulsen Hansen—Roskilde University—”The Moral Economy of Activation: Ideas, Politics and Policies”

Prof. Magnus Paulsen Hansen presented his latest book “The Moral Economy of Activation: Ideas, Politics and Policies” (published by Policy Press). The book reflects upon activation policies in Denmark and France by using the concept of moral economies from French sociology in order to grasp the plurality of moral and normative structures used to justify and criticize unemployment-governing policies. Prof. Magnus Hansen presented his book in an open seminar, and then in a closed seminar provided Qualidem with feedback on their use of “moral economy” in their research.
