The aim of Damien’s stay is to allow him to work with Prof. Özlem Atikcan. Prof. Atikcan is a member of his thesis committee and is an expert on “framing” on which she used to work during her own thesis. This notion is both widely used and can be difficult to implement. Benefiting from Özlem’s expertise will make it easier for Damien Pennetreau to make the theoretical and methodological choices that will allow him to refine and stabilise his theoretical and analytical frameworks. The objective is also to carry out part of the empirical analysis in order to assess the implementation of the theoretical and methodological choices. Beyond the collaboration with Prof. Atikcan, the stay is also an opportunity for Damien to integrate an international environment and to participate in the scientific activities of the Centre for Politics and International Studies.
