Does reducing unemployment benefits has an impact on citizens’ participation in the political life? Does making the criteria harsher for getting social support affect individual participation to democratic life? The policy feedback and mass politics literatures suggests it is the case and policy makers should be aware of the adverse effects of policy change that goes beyond immediate and measurable policy outcomes.
