This chapter retraces the history of the European Social Fund from the perspective of young people. It takes stock of the support provided by the Fund to young people in Europe and analyses how this support has changed across time. It particularly focuses on some selected European countries, including Greece, Germany, Poland, Spain and Bulgaria
